<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing α- and β-TCP (tricalcium phosphate) powder having submicron grain sizes. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the β-tricalcium phosphate powder having the submicron grain sizes has (a) a step of adding powder or aqueous solution of calcium nitrate tetrahydrate to an aqueous solution of diammonium hydrogenphosphate, (b) a step of assuring the formation of apatite tricalcium phosphate by adding concentrated ammonia water to the above solution, (c) a step of filtering, washing and drying the precipitate, and (d) a step of firing the powder at 800°C, then cooling the powder to obtain the single phase β-tricalcium phosphate powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
