<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver for transmitting more information in the same frequency band by solving the problem that a transmission information amount cannot be increased when a frequency band is limited in a transmitter for transmitting a digital signal. <P>SOLUTION: In the receiver for receiving a terrestrial digital broadcast signal and a satellite digital broadcast signal, the terrestrial digital broadcast signal contains a first data row and a second data row. The power of a modulated signal corresponding to the first data row is larger than that of a modulated signal corresponding to the second data row.
