<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress wrong recognition of a present time or a mistake for a failure by a user at the alarm generation time in a radio wave correction clock with alarm function. <P>SOLUTION: When a clock time of a clocking circuit 1 reaches an alarm time, a control circuit 4 determines whether a long-wave standard radio wave including time information is received or not, and generates an alarm sound from an informing part 6 if being received. In this case, namely, at the alarm generation time, reception of the long-wave standard radio wave including the time information is suspended. If the long-wave standard radio wave including the time information is not received at the alarm time, the control circuit 4 determines whether a display time of a time display part 8 is under correction or not, and inhibits the alarm from the informing part 6 and allows continuation of correction of the display time in the case under correction.
