<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device and a light emitting panel having a novel sealing structure with improved light emitting service life of the light emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting device has a substrate forming a light emitting structure, a sealing member sealing the light emitting structure, and a joining member joining the substrate and the sealing member. It is characterized in that it is comprised of providing a photocatalyst in a position capable of receiving emission from the light emitting structure, and it can effectively irradiate emission on the photocatalyst by providing a light reflecting film on at least either one of the substrate or the sealing member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
