PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appreciably reliable cable that can prevent an event of breaking even if laid in a hinge of electronic equipment or the like, and a connector that uses the cable. SOLUTION: The connector comprises the cable 21 comprising insulating layers and conductive layers alternately layered outward from a radially central portion, and having at opposite ends terminal portions 38 and 39 where the region situated inward of the conductive layer situated in the middle across the layers is axially projected out to expose the conductive layer; and a first socket 22 and a second socket 23 detachably fitted on the respective terminal portions at opposite ends of the cable, and having conductive layers brought in contact with the conductive layer at the respective terminal portions.
