PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein communication with an opposite apparatus will be disabled; if encrypted communication is not established. SOLUTION: An encrypted communication apparatus 10 comprises a memory section 13 for storing encrypting algorithm information; an algorithm selection means 31 for selecting arbitrary encrypting algorithm information from a plurality of pieces of encrypting algorithm information being stored; an encryption process section 14 for encrypting communication data from a communication terminal apparatus 3, based on the selected encrypting algorithm information; and a data transmission section 15 for transmitting the communication data to the opposite-side apparatus by encrypted communication for encrypting the communication data. When destination information from the communication terminal apparatus 3 is detected, arbitrary encrypting algorithm information is selected by the algorithm selection means, the selected encrypting algorithm information is reported to the opposite-side apparatus by non-coding communication by an algorithm transmission means 32.
