PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image voice recording system in which an analog signal input by a DVD recorder can be converted into a signal form specified by an STB and recorded. SOLUTION: A controller reads the signal form on a disk, and its own input is changed over to an analog when a signal cannot be transmitted in a digital manner. That is, when digital image voice data read from the DVD recorder 200 are decided as the digital image voice data of a kind which cannot be inputted in the digital manner, in the STB 100 from video object information 210 read from the disk, the digital image voice data are converted into an analog image voice signal and outputted to an analog output terminal 204 for the DVD recorder 200 without the digital image voice data to an IEEE 1394 bus 501, and the output analog image voice signal is inputted from an analog input terminal 110 for the STB 100.
