PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire maintaining reinforcing effect by improving reinforcing effect by a protector arranged on a side wall section. SOLUTION: At least one convex protector 7 extended in a tire peripheral direction is arranged on at least one side wall section 2 within a range of 30-65% of tire cross sectional height SH, an elastic reinforcement 8 comprising at least two rings is buried in the inside of the protector 7, and 100% modulus of the elastic reinforcement 8 is set to 5-25 times 100% modules of the rubber composition of the adjacent side wall section 2.
