PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently develop the absorbing effect of a highly absorbable polymer using a highly diffusible and highly permeable absorbing sheet as a part of an absorbent article to reduce liquid return, stickiness and leakage. SOLUTION: In this absorbent article which is equipped with the highly diffusible and highly permeable absorbent sheet 2 and the highly absorbable polymer 1, the sheet 2 is composed of a dry nonwoven fabric including at least hot-melt adhesive fibers; and the polymer 1 is fixed to the sheet 2 by heat fusion, so that body fluids can be rapidly diffused in the sheet 2, smoothly transferred to the polymer 1 and enclosed in the absorbent article.
