PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aroma providing unit, easily handled and having high persistency of aroma. SOLUTION: This aroma providing unit includes a sheet-like holding material 15 absorbing aroma solution and holding the same to be volatilized and covering materials 12, 13 covering both surfaces of the holding material 15 to restrain leakage of the aroma solution from the holding material 15 side to the outside. The covering materials 12, 13 are formed at least partially as a discharge part for discharging the aroma component volatilized from the holding material 15. In this aroma providing unit, since the holding material 15 is covered with the covering materials 12, 13, aroma solution will not adhere to the other members. Further, the holding material is sheet-like so that it is easy to handle. Since the holding material 15 is covered with the covering materials 12, 13, it is hard to touch the air current, and since the volatile speed of the aroma component in the holding material 15 is low, persistency of aroma is high.
