PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination method for a biological substance capable of accurately performing determination by stopping the reaction due to enzyme G6PDH. SOLUTION: This determination method for the biological substance includes a first step for adding GLDH,α-KG, NADH (or NADPM), G6P and G6PDH to a specimen to mix them with the specimen and erasing ammonia already present in the specimen, as first reaction and includes a second step for adding a 3-7C monohydric alcohol to stop the reaction of G6PDH and a third step for adding enzyme for forming ammonia simultaneously with the second step or after the second step to measure formed ammonia.
