The invention relates to the use of an IP3K and/or an IPMK, preferably of human or of higher vertebrate origin, for a test system with an IP3K and/or an IPMK for detecting active substances for the prophylaxis and treatment of proliferative diseases. The invention relates to a novel human gene, to uses of this gene in screening methods, to a test system with this gene, and to uses of different substances for inhibiting this gene or the gene product thereof.
