<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium capable of improving its cooling ability and repeat recording property and doubling its recording capacity as compared to a conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: In the two layer structured optical recoding medium for recording or reproducing with respectively to a couple of recording layer constructs, the 1st recording layer construct 101 is laminated with the layers having main constituting materials such as each of 1st ZnS-SiO<SB>2</SB>102, Ge-Sb-Te 104 and 2nd ZnS-SiO<SB>2</SB>106 in the order from the incident side of laser beams, and also a 1st heat sink layer 107 is provided. The 2nd recording layer construct 201 is formed to the same layer constitution as that of the 1st construct expect the 1st heat sink layer, and a 2nd heat sink layer 207 composed of a metal material is provided therein, then, the 1st and 2nd recording layer constructs are laminated through an intermediate heat sink layer 108 and a separating layer 109 in contact with the intermediate heat sink layer to the side of 2nd recording layer construct, and also the ratio t/T1 of the thickness T1 of the 1st recording layer construct and the thickness t of the intermediate heat sink layer is set to be 0.2-1.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
