<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for a user to easily capture and archive moving video segments. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of digital video segments, stored by a digital camera, are automatically transferred to a separate storage medium. The digital camera comprises a image sensor for generating the image signal from an optical image presented by a lens, a processor for generating digital video segments, a digital memory for storing them, a color image display for reviewing them, and a docking interface which connects the digital camera to a docking unit. The docking unit comprises a connector for connecting the digital camera to the docking unit, and a recorder for recording on a separate storage medium. The digital camera transfers a plurality of digital video segments to the docking unit, in response to the action of a user, and the docking unit records it on a separate storage medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
