<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy three demands in reproduction processing by performing the reproduction processing in three stages. <P>SOLUTION: In this exhaust emission control device of an engine comprising a filter 41 for capturing particulate in an exhaust passage 2, and performing the reproduction processing of the filter 41 in a reproduction period of the filter 41, the reproduction processing of the filter 41 includes the rapid temperature rise control and the oxygen concentration control after the rapid temperature rise control, a target value of a filter inlet temperature in the rapid temperature rise control period t1 is higher than a target value of the filter inlet temperature of the oxygen concentration control period, and the oxygen concentration control period includes a first oxygen concentration control period t2 for performing the first oxygen concentration control where the low concentration is set as the target oxygen concentration in the exhaust, and a second oxygen concentration control period t3 performing the second oxygen concentration control wherein the high concentration is set as the target oxygen concentration in the exhaust, after the lapse of the first oxygen concentration control period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
