<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support system capable of retrieving the existence of a supportee who needs support, and quickly dispatching a support robot which autonomously performs a support operation which the supportee needs. <P>SOLUTION: A patrol robot 2 retrieves the existence of a supportee who needs support, recognizes the location of the retrieved supportee and the kind of necessary support, and transmits a support request to a support center 1.
