PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic-pressure bearing motor which can reduce current consumption at low temperature and can be used enough in application to high-speed revolution. SOLUTION: In the dynamic-pressure bearing motor, a rotor 3 in the shape of a bottomed cylinder is set around a supporting axis 2 in the shape of a bottomed cylinder, a rotating shaft 6 is inserted therein, and a rotor 3 is born with a radial bearing 9 constituted of its internal perimeter and the periphery of the supporting axis 2. The bottom of the supporting axis 2 is a thrust plate 10, and the rotating shaft 6 is provided with a flange-shaped thrust collar 7 opposed to the thrust plate 10. Thus, the thrust bearing 8 is composed of the inside and outside surfaces of the thrust plate 10, the thrust collar 7, and the opposed face of the rotor. Consequently, high precision of squareness between the radial bearing 9 and the thrust bearing 8 can be secured, and it becomes possible to enlarge the outside diameter of the thrust bearing 8 and use gas as lubrication fluid for each bearing. In accordance with the accuracy improvement of the thrust bearing 8, the reduction of a starting current and the improvement of load resistance can be contrived, and it becomes possible to reduce current consumption at low temperature and cope enough with high-speed revolution.
