PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a vehicle body from being unstable even if a child hangs a hand-push bar, improve the stability of the vehicle body when a child operates it alone, prevent the hand-push bar from becoming an obstacle when it is contained, and keep a shoe of or clothes of the child from being in contact with a lower portion of the hand-push bar. SOLUTION: This tricycle for a child includes a step arm 82 for changing a position, between a usage position and a contained position, of a pair of foot steps 80 supported at a lower portion of a seat 44 and placed on a turn end portion of the seat 44, a hand-push bar lower 56 made of a pipe extended from a rear portion to obliquely upper rear portion with both ends open, a hand-push bar upper 58 held at the lower 56 in a slidable fashion between the usage position and the contained position, and a lock means 68 for locking the upper 58 at least at the usage position, and the lower end of the lower 56 is placed more upward than the contained position of the step arm 82.
