<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network compatible type printing device, its printing method and a printing system capable of easily and efficiently acquiring an information resource on a network as a printed matter. <P>SOLUTION: A host computer designates the address information (URL) of an information resource to be connected to a printer (S1). Thus, the printer is able to be connected directly to the designated information resource without using host computer (S2), and to receive leading data. As a result of the judgement of printability based on the leading data (S4), when the printer is able to directly print, the printer receives the residual data (S5), and carries out printing (S6, S7). Thus, it is possible for the printer to actively perform access to the designated information resource, and to acquire a printed matter by printing the information resource, and to effectively use the network resource. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
