<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform recording of high quality even in a high speed region by accurately determining recording power and other recording conditions even at a line velocity different from that of trial write. <P>SOLUTION: The information recording method applies trial write to a PCA region of an optical disk 20 at a prescribed basic line velocity, decides optimum recording power at the basic line velocity on the basis of the result of the trial write, and sets the recording power on the basis of the result of applying a prescribed arithmetic operation to an optimum recording power at the basic line velocity by using a power setting section 13 or the like when applying recording at a line velocity different from the basic line velocity to the optical disk 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
