<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium with excellent security. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical recording medium, a reflection layer 13 comprises at least an optical reflective substance and a label face are formed on a light transparent substrate 12 on which a pit string forming a rugged shape in response to encrypted information is formed over a plurality of tracks and emitting a laser beam to a side of the light transparent substrate opposite to the pit string forming side to detect the rugged shape of the pit string to read the information.
