<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent apoptosis-inducing agent of a cancer cell, having a 3-prenylcinnamic acid skeleton and having weak side effects, and to provide a method for producing the apoptosis-inducing agent, and to obtain an anticancer agent, a food preparation and a cosmetic. <P>SOLUTION: The apoptosis-inducing agent of the cancer cell comprises at least one kind of compound selected from a 3-prenylcinnamic acid derivative represented by formula (1) (wherein X is hydroxy group, dihydrocinnamoyloxy group, a cinnamoyloxy group, a p-coumaroyloxy group, a caffeoyloxy group, a cinnapyrroyloxy group or a salicyloyloxy group). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
