<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink composition for writing utensils which is excellent in so-called cap-off performance (dry-up-resistant performance), i.e., prevention of blur or impossibleness in writing caused by drying of a pen point, and is free from sagging or falling in drops caused by local decrease in ink viscosity caused by moisture absorption on the pen point. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition comprises at least water, a colorant, a water-soluble organic solvent, and a saccharide mixture containing at least 40 wt.% saccharides comprising deca- or higher saccharides. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
