PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance communication ability by making full use of an image processing function which both a transmitting side and a receiving side have, to enable image processing including a transmission with optimum processing performance and processing quality, and to improve user's convenience. SOLUTION: A communication interface portion 10 for transmitting image information and one or more image processors 4 for processing the image information to be transmitted by transmitting means are provided. Image processing information on processing of image information on the receiving side is received from the receiving side through the communication interface portion 10 prior to the transmission of the image information through the communication interface portion 10. Based on the receiving side processing information received through the communication interface portion 10, at least processing content to be performed to the image information at the transmitting side image processor 4 is determined.
