PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control unit capable of allowing a plurality of vehicles to cooperatively operate by sharing movement information with each other and then lightening the burden on an operator when controlling the plurality of vehicles. SOLUTION: The vehicle control unit is mounted on each vehicle and equipped with a wireless LAN interface 11 which sends and receives data by wireless communication, a sensor part 13 which detects a state value for acquiring movement information of its vehicle, and a movement control part 12 provided with a self-movement information providing means of providing movement information on its vehicle, an other-movement information acquiring means of acquiring movement information on other vehicles, a cooperative behavior control means of finding the controlled variable of its vehicle according to the movement information of other vehicles to meet previously set cooperative behavior conditions, and an autonomous behavior control means of controlling operations associated with the movement of its vehicle according to the controlled variable.
