PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mineral water making apparatus which enhances the mineral elution efficiency of mineral eluting matter and can suppress the precipitation of a mineral component. SOLUTION: In the mineral water making apparatus wherein the mineral eluting matter for eluting the mineral component is placed in an electrolytic cell 10 to which raw water such as tap water or the like is supplied and a pair of negative and positive electrodes for eluting minerals to which DC voltage is applied are arranged, an acidic food additive supply device 40 for supplying acidic food additives is provided on the upstream side of the electrolytic cell 10. By this constitution, the pH in the electrolytic cell 10 is adjusted by the acidic food additives, the precipitation of the mineral component in the electrolytic cell 10 and an outflow pipe is suppressed and the clogging of piping or the adhesion of scale to the electrodes is prevented. Further, the dissolution of the mineral component is accelerated and the concentration of minerals of mineral water can be further enhanced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
