PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush, enough securing stiffness to be used as bristle material for various brushes, especially the firmness at the tip, besides having excellent wiping characteristic, removing characteristic, and coating characteristic, and attaining soft touch in use. SOLUTION: In this brush planted with brush bristles of synthetic polymers, the brush bristle material fixed to the bristle planting surface of a head part of the brush includes a filament having a tapered part decreased in its sectional area in two stages from the base side toward the tip of the bristle. The brush bristle includes a filament made of two kinds of polyester resin different in alkali loss speed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
