MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR CELLULOSE ACETATE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing cellulose acetate useful as a low cost biodegradable plastic using corn cob meal discarded heretofore as a raw material.

SOLUTION: Cellulose acetate is manufactured by cooling corn cob meal in a pressure container of 150 - 250°C and 20 to 29 MPa and filtering the cooked one by a filter to obtain solid matter. An acetic anhydride and sulfuric acid are added to the solid matter to perform dehydrating and acetylating treatment of the solid matter.
