METHOD OF TRANSMITTING IMAGE DATA, IMAGE READER, POS TERMINAL, AND ELECTRONIC PAYMENT SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly read image data and reliably transmit the data to a terminal computer 30 without depending on the environment of the computer 30.

SOLUTION: The computer 30 designates an identification number, and instructs an image reader 140 (14) to read the image data. The image reader 140 reads the image data according to the instruction, and stores the data in the image reader so as to correspond to the identification number. After that, the image reader 140 transmits the image data corresponding to the identification number designated by the computer 30 to the computer 30.
