PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently plot a triangular polygon under simple control. SOLUTION: The triangular polygon plotting apparatus is provided with: a parameter calculating means 1 for calculating increment parameters associated with various components and increment parameters of a major edge and a minor edge in X and Y directions from apexes V0-V2; a triangle type discriminating means 2 for classifying a triangular polygon form into four types in accordance with a direction of the major edge and its inclination and determining a moving direction; a start pixel calculating means 3 for calculating various components of a start pixel; a pixel moving means 4 and a pixel interpolating means 5 for interpolating pixels in the X direction in order from the start pixel, saving a pixel M which is first over the major edge, interpolating pixels from the major edge to the minor edge, plotting one scan line of the triangular polygon, interpolating the saved pixel M in the Y direction and defining it as a start pixel of the next scan line.
