AUDIO DISK, DECODING METHOD OF AUDIO DATA AND TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem associated with copy protection when audio data in a two channel system and a narrow bandwidth system and high quality audio data in a multichannel system and a wide bandwidth system are to be transmitted together. SOLUTION: Two channel or multichannel audio signals A related to a same audio source are selectively inputted into an A/D converter 1. The signals are A/D converted using different sampling frequencies and different number of bits for quantization and recorded on a disk. In the lead-in area of the disk, a first CGMCAP code which is used to control the copying of the two channel data and a second CGMCAP code which is used to control the copying of the multichannel data are recorded.
