PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sonic wave transmitter/ receiver, a distance measuring instrument, a flow velocity measuring instrument, and a sonic velocity measuring instrument, for actualizing more accurate measurement by precisely detecting reception time of a sonic wave. SOLUTION: This sonic wave transmitter/ receiver is equipped with a sonic wave transmitting part 1 for transmitting a wave flux of a sonic wave modulated by an envelope such as a single-shot Gaussian pulse having an amplitude monotonously increasing from a starting time-point, going through a maximum value, monotonously decreasing, and reaching an ending time-point, and having a vibration cycle set to be shorter than the time period between the starting time-point and the ending time-point of the envelope, and a sonic wave receiving part 2 for receiving, at a position distant from the transmitting part 1, the wave flux of the sonic wave transmitted from the transmitting part 1. This transmitter/ receiver is used by being built in a distance measuring instrument, a flow velocity measuring instrument, a sonic velocity measuring instrument, or the like. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
