PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an improvement in an impact resistance without lowering a magnetic disk rotating performance of a thin magnetic disk unit. SOLUTION: A housing 103 is rigidly formed of a base 103a, and a metal core wiring board, a fluid bearing structure is installed on the base 103a, and an end of a shaft 123 of the base 103a side is formed in a pivot state. A pressurization along a shaft stem at a bearing part of the shaft 123 and the base 103a is generated by drawing either the shaft 123 or a hub 120 or both by a magnetic force of a thrust pressurizing magnet installed at either one or both of the base 103a and the bearing part, and thereby the pressurization along the shaft stem is generated at the bearing part of the shaft 123 and the base 103a, and a distance between a magnetic disk 122 and the base 103a is held. Further, a release inhibiting projection 108 is provided on a case part on a shaft rotary axis extension line, a moving range of a rotating surface of the disk 11 is limited, and hence the impact resistance in the case of dropping impact or the like is improved.
