PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching circuit with little power loss by turning off a first switching device and then turning on a second switching device, so as to keep voltage applied to the first switching device low. SOLUTION: This switching circuit comprises at least the first and second switching devices which are connected to an input power supply through a load in parallel to each other; the second switching device; and a control signal generating circuit for generating a signal which controls ON/OFF of the first and second switching devices. The control signal generating circuit generates the first and second signals with different pulse durations which permits the second switching device to be continuously on for a certain time after turning off the first switching device.
