PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element having remarkably improved luminous efficiency and low electric power consumption. SOLUTION: This organic electroluminescent element has at least a substrate 1, a pair of electrodes 2, 6, and an emission band 4 installed between the electrodes 2, 6, and containing a fluorescent emission material, and a layer 7 comprising a phosphorescent emission material or a layer containing the phosphorescent emission material is installed so as to contact with the emission band 4.
