PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the trouble that an output end voltage undershoots when varied from a high voltage to a low voltage in a dropper type DC stabilized power unit enabled to vary the output voltage and a dropper front-stage voltage having a larger voltage value than the output voltage with a control voltage by applying the control voltage common to a dropper front-stage control circuit controlling a magnetic amplifier and a dropper output control circuit controlling a dropper. SOLUTION: To the gain part of the dropper front-stage control circuit 30, a switching circuit is added which makes the operation of a capacitor C21 in the gain part ineffective during output voltage drop control and comprises a switching transistor Q51 and resistances R51, R52, and R53.
