PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel-made rising/falling gate capable of preventing an accident in which flat plate-like watertight rubber on a side face of a door body causes large bending deformation and a tip part is pulled into a clearance between a side end part of the steel-made door body and side face door stop hardware and is damaged when it rises or falls. SOLUTION: In this rising/falling gate for performing dam-up or discharge of flowing water due to rising or falling of the steel-made door body having the center of rotation on a water way bottom, cross sectional shape of a part in contact with the side face door stop hardware at a tip of the flat plate-like watertight rubber forming watertightness of a side face of the gate by protruding from a side end part of the steel-made door body and coming into contact with a surface of the side face door stop hardware is finished into a semicircular shape. Reinforcing fibers are arranged in U shape on an inner side along outer shape surface on a crossing face of the flat plate-like watertight rubber. Side face watertight rubber is provided to reinforce so that the tip part of the flat plate-like watertight rubber is not pulled into the clearance between the side end part of the steel-made door body and the side face door stop hardware and is not damaged due to friction force with a surface of the side face door stop hardware when it rises and falls.
