PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of realizing a high quality image by eliminating the magnification difference of images outputted from the imaging apparatus, and the magnification difference of images on the front and rear sides at the time of printing on both sides. SOLUTION: The laser scanning controlling unit for driving a light source for emitting a laser beam according to image data per pixel unit and scanning on an image supporting member in the main scanning direction via a rotatable polygon mirror by the laser beam emitted from the light source, comprises a correcting means for correcting the scanning magnification of the main scanning direction by expanding the pixel length of the pixels at one or more correcting points on a main scanning line to be scanned with the laser beam on the image supporting member and correcting the outputting magnification by correcting the magnification in the sub scanning direction by changing the rotation speed of the rotatable polygon mirror.
