PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight actuator arm of high dimensional accuracy by improving surface properties such as corrosion of an actuator component for a hard disk drive formed of a magnesium alloy. SOLUTION: In this actuator arm, an electroless nickel-phosphorus plating film of at least 3μm thickness is deposited on the surface of a cut-out actuator component for a hard disk drive formed of a magnesium alloy.
