PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated polyester film markedly excellent in heat resistance and fire retardancy and excellent in productivity. SOLUTION: The laminated polyester film is obtained by laminating a resin layer, wherein 70% or more of the whole unit structure comprises a polyamic acid having a unit structure represented by formula (II) and/or formula (III) and the imidation ratio thereof is 50% or more, on both surfaces of a polyester film copolymerized with a phosphorus compound represented by formula (I). In the formulae (II) and (III), R is at least one kind of the group selected from formula (IV) wherein X and Y are each at least one group selected from among formula (V): -O-, -CH<SB>2</SB>-, -CO-, -S- and -C(CH<SB>3</SB>)<SB>2</SB>.
