PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when a reservation recording program is a program in which a broadcasting time is extended or a program of the same channel after the extended program, this program cannot be recorded without excess or insufficiency. SOLUTION: An electronic program guide processing unit 17 detects the maximum extended time of the broadcasting from the electronic program guide data if there is an extension of the broadcasting time. A digital video recorder 13 extends the recording time only for the maximum extended time when an object program is recorded. When the processing unit 17 acquires the changed electronic program guide data, an actual extending time is clarified, and hence an unnecessary part of the video signal recorded in the digital video recorder 13 is deleted based on the maximum extending time and an actual extending time.
