A FISHING LURE

A fishing lure (10) designed to simulate the natural features, particularly the appearance and motion, simulating the tail flicking action of a live crustacean is disclosed. The fishing lure (10) has a body with a forward portion (15) and a rearward motion (20). The forward portion (15) and the rearward portion (20) are pivotally connected to each other by means of a hinge (30) so that the forward portion (15) and rearward portion (20) may move with respect to each other between an extended (or rest) configuration and a bent configuration. Connection means (35) on the underside of the forward portion (15) secures a fishing line to the forward portion (15). The fishing line may slidably pass through an opening (65) in the rearward portion (20). In use, articulation of the rearward portion (20) with respect to the forward portion (15) simulates the tail flicking action and rearward movement of a live crustacean through the water.
