A device linkage control system for controlling a plurality of devices linked to one another. The system includes: a life data recording device (n107) for collecting information on use of devices (n109 to n112) by a user as life data into a life data storage section (n102); a life pattern extraction device (n101) having an episode creation section (n103) for using contents related to a particular episode in the life data as element data and combining them to create episode data, an episode analysis section (n104) for analyzing the relationship between the element data contained in the episode data, and a life pattern interpretation section (n105) for identifying a life pattern characteristic to the user from the relationship between the element data and recording it as life pattern information in a life pattern storage section (n106); and a control device (n108) for using the user life pattern recorded in the life pattern storage section (n106) so as to linkage-control the devices (n109 to n112).
