<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic-wave absorber used mainly in package components for high-frequency circuits easy of its manufacture, excellent in its electromagnetic-wave absorbing characteristic, and further, free of desorption gas. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic-wave absorber is made of a sintered body containing Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and CoO. Its content of Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>is made not smaller than 45 mol. %, and its content of CoO is made not larger than 55 mol. %, and further, its attenuation quantity of an electromagnetic wave is made not smaller than 2dB in the frequency range being not lower than 10 GHz. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
