<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a water-based ink composition for inkjet recording use, curable by actinic energy ray, free from a non-reactive volatile organic solvent for dissolving a photopolymerization initiator, giving no adverse effect of the residual solvent on the human body and the environment and having excellent curability. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink composition is produced by adding water to a mixture obtained by dissolving a water-soluble or water-dispersible oligomer and a photopolymerization initiator in an organic solvent having a boiling point of <100°C, distilling out the organic solvent to transfer the mixture from the organic solvent phase to the aqueous phase and dissolving or dispersing a colorant to the obtained aqueous mixture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
