<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion conductive polymeric membrane for a fuel cell which is composed of a sulfo group-containing resin cured product having practical ion conductivity, simultaneously excellent water resistance, methanol resistance, and methanol barrier properties, and a fuel cell to be obtained by using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The sulfo group-containing resin cured product is obtained by sulfonating a resin cured product of a photocrosslinkable aromatic polymer having a carbonyl group and a 1-10C alkyl group directly bonded to an aromatic ring in the molecular chain with a sulfonating agent. Further, the sulfo group-containing resin cured product is obtained by sulfonating a resin cured product of a composition composed of an aromatic polymer having a carbonyl group in the molecule and an aromatic polymer having a 1-10C alkyl group directly bonded to an aromatic ring with a sulfonating agent. The ion conductive polymeric membrane for a fuel cell is obtained by molding the sulfo group-containing resin cured product into a film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
