<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection device capable of easily connecting ends of tape-shaped carriers. <P>SOLUTION: The connection device 20 connects the ends of the tape-shaped carriers 10a and 10b aligning and holding sensor components 11 at predetermined equal pitch intervals. On both longitudinal end sides of the connection device 20 in the carriers 10a and 10b, engagement grooves 24 for engaging with engaging elements 13a and 13b formed on the ends of the carriers 10a and 10b are formed on positions where the interval between the sensor component 11 and the connection device 20 is an integral multiple of the pitch interval between each sensor component 11 when engaged with the engaging elements 13a and 13b. By engaging the engaging elements 13a and 13b with the engaging grooves 24, the ends of the carriers 10a and 10b are mutually connected in a manner that the interval between the sensor component 11 and the connection device 20 is an integral multiple of the pitch interval between each sensor component 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
