PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of preventing problems such as deterioration of a force for transporting the toner in the feeding member and increase in the hardness of the feeding member, while these problems are due to clogging of a foamed body caused by paper dust and the like mixing in the developing device and entering the foamed body of the feeding member, in the case where used toner is recycled. SOLUTION: The developing device is provided with a developer carrier and the feeding member for supplying a developer to this carrier, and is designed to recycle the used developer. Because the feeding member is a foamed body and because foams having a cell diameter of 80μm or below is not more than 1% of the total foams on the surface of the feeding member, the toner is smoothly discharged from inside the feeding member. As a result, the foamed body is prevented from being clogged, thereby eliminating the problems concerning the feeding member such as the lowering of the toner transporting force and the increase in the hardness.
