PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily recover a single-component toner and double-component toners scattered in the vicinity of developing positions. SOLUTION: Toner scattered from a black development unit 6 which uses a single-component magnetic toner is recovered with a collecting roller 22 disposed downstream of the developing position of the black development unit 6 in the direction of the rotation of the photosensitive drum 1. Toners scattered from a magenta development unit 5a, a cyan development unit 5b, and a yellow development unit 5c, each of which uses double-component toner (toner containing non-magnetic toner and magnetic carrier), are sucked by the rotation of a fan 27 into a toner suction duct 25 disposed downstream of the developing positions of the magenta, cyan, and yellow development units 5a, 5b, and 5c in the direction of the rotation of the photosensitive drum 1, and then the toners are recovered by a toner recovery filter 26.
