PNRP SECURITY INFRASTRUCTURE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security infrastructure and a method for suppressing an ability that a malicious node blocks a normal operation of a peer-to-peer network. SOLUTION: The node is enabled to use both of secure identification and insecure identification by making the node into a self-verification type. An ID ownership is verified by taking advantage of verification to the existing message when it is necessary or in suitable time. Probability to be first connected with the malicious node is reduced by selecting a node at a connecting destination at random. Furthermore, information from the malicious node is identified and discarded by maintaining information regarding communication before a future response is required. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
